Oakwood Whisky, owned by Terry Smith, is the result of a long-standing passion for whisky and a deep connection to Islay. Terry’s frequent visits to the island led to an investment in single malt whisky expressions, specifically distilled at Bruichladdich.
These carefully selected whiskies were matured in an array of casks, each with its unique size and age, and are currently housed in the warehouses on Islay’s picturesque western coast. It is here that the captivating story of Oakwood Whisky unfolds.
Two exceptional casks have been meticulously brought out of bond and skillfully bottled at the renowned Bruichladdich Distillery
- Port Charlotte, boasting a superb dry peaty “dram” with a range of botanicals and salty aromas
- Bruichladdich, embodying a less peaty “dram” but still with a range of botanicals and a hint of that saltiness from being aged in a warehouse close to the Atlantic Ocean
Each sip of an Oakwood Whisky tells a tale of dedication, craftsmanship, and a genuine appreciation for Islay’s rich whisky heritage.
